Intern with PEP!

Are you interested in the people and culture of Russia? Would you like to learn about non-profit foreign assistance programs? We are looking for you!

The Productivity Enhancement Program (PEP) is seeking interns to help us carry out a large, citizen-based initiative to stimulate Russian manufacturing, production and services to ensure economic and political stability. Interns are usually high school, college students or recent graduates and internships typically last for 3 months. This is a part-time, unpaid position with a flexible work schedule.

PEP and its Mission

PEP is based on the historic Marshall PlanŐs Technical Assistance Program, which helped restore post-WWII Europe. PEP brings Russian manufacturers and business owners to the US to receive one-month management training internships in American firms and plants. PEP's goal is to stimulate local manufacturing, production and services to ensure economic and political stability in Russia.

PEP is a program of the Center for Citizen Initiatives (CCI). CCI has run complex, multi-year programs between the US and former USSR since 1983. Acknowledged as a pioneer in "track-two" diplomacy in the early 1980s, CCI became a laboratory for early ground-breaking projects in the USSR. In the '90s, CCI continues to monitor the changes rapidly taking place in the Newly Independent States (NIS) and responds quickly with specifically targeted programs.

All CCI programs are aimed at empowering citizens, not officials, to take responsibility for societal change. The Center seeks interns who want to help contribute to this historic mission.
