Program Officer - Community Outreach

Job Description



Duties and Responsibilities: As a member of the Community Outreach Team, the Program Officer initiates and maintains contact with volunteer and service organizations across the United States in order to secure sponsorship of a PEP delegation of Russian entrepreneurs in their community.


More specifically, duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Research and target U.S. communities that are well suited to host delegations for training
  • Communicate the goals of the program to potential sponsors via phone, fax, email and mail
  • Work with potential sponsors to build consensus and resources to host a delegation
  • Speak knowledgeably about the economic, political, and social situation in Russia and the impact that programs like PEP have on a global level
  • Write and design PR materials as needed
  • Develop and maintain contact databases
  • Other projects as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:


Salary: $30,000 - $35,000 DOE Plus Benefits
