Assistant - Delegation Coordination
Job Description
CCI is a leading nonprofit organization funded by the US
State Department assisting Russia in its conversion to a market economy. CCI
provides business management training programs to visiting groups of business
owners and executives from Russia, in a broad range of industries, services
and agriculture.
Duties
and Responsibilities: The Program Assistant
works with the Delegation Coordination department in preparing and coordinating
PEP training programs. The department is responsible for overseeing the development
and quality of PEP training programs by supporting PEP volunteers in their
efforts to organize training, social and cultural events, and local transportation.
More specifically, duties and responsibilities include but
are not limited to the following:
- Provide support to delegation coordination and other PEP departments
- Organize Mailings and Press Releases
- Data Entry
- Correspond to civic clubs and business trainers
- Correspond with Russian partner offices
- Assist with recruitment of business hosts and home hosts
- Develop & maintain PEP database systems & computer archives
- Utilize internet for research
- Update, format, and copy program materials
- Other projects as assigned
Required skills:
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Good writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Good basic office skills (telephone, copy equipment, printers, fax, etc.)
- Ability to work closely with a fast-paced team
- Proficiency with Macintosh computers (Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Experience with databases, preferably FileMaker Pro
- Knowledge of PageMaker and other desktop publishing software is a plus
(but not required)
- Russian language and familiarity with Russian economics, politics & culture
is a plus (but not required)
Salary: $25,000-$27,000 DOE Plus Excellent Benefits
